Some little improvements
.jpg)
A little improvement on our Edwardian etc. cars, Joe has made a new 3DP chain drive component which looks a lot nicer and is much stronger than the old cast resin version (*Image is of a test version and we have more detail on the actual production version*). This will be use in all applicable kits going forward. You may have also noticed another component to allow for a solid axle to be used on the Edwardians, alongside a Sloting Plus guide. This can remove the steering function, but makes everything that much stronger and increase the survival rates when racing.
On the subject of oldies, I have two more in the pipeline. These will be an Issotto and a Hudson Special. Also the model Ts will be going up in a few days.
Plus the Dioramas are almost done and I will be taking some to Cobham on Sunday. On the subject of Slot Car shows, I will not be exhbiting at Gaydon this year but myself and Colin from RS Slot will be there on the Sunday as members of the public. So if we have any slot car friends who are travelling up from Europe, or indeed the UK, you are very welcome to pop into us in Southend on the Friday or Saturday. We only 30 or so miles east of London, off the M25.
A quick, update about running gear etc. We are moving forward with this, from April we will be offering it with all of our kits, but it will take me some time to update all of the listings. For the interim we will have a workaround system to use but I shall explain this once I have it sorted and up and running. As a quick note, as part of this if any kits have wheels currently included, they will be moved to an option along with wheel inserts. So be sure to check when ordering from April onwards.
Now, we know we cannot please everyone, and sometimes we even fuck up (I know surprise, surprise) but we do think we are pretty clear on what we sell and what is included, but even so sometimes that is not enough. The other day we sold an Anglia, then after it arrived at its destination a return was requested and the following was the message we received:
"
Return reason
Just didn't like it
Details
I buy my husband a lot of models and I thought this was a proper kit, but the kits my husband does are proper build kits, not kits with just a few parts. This kit is just not worth the money and is far too small. Thanks
"
Bear in mind we include a list of what is included in the kit, the dimensions of the kit, and the scale in the title (On ebay listings). Hardly my fault you did not read the listing properly or know what scale your husband builds haha. Now if you are polite and just say you did not realise what it was and messed up, that is fine I am not going to mind, but after that I did feel like replying, ok then feel free to go buy some cheap chinese crap. And we do have quite a few 5 star reviews now (thank you everyone). Oh well, just means we have an extra Anglia in stock to sell.
